Other Products and Services

UnitedHealthcare Specialty Benefits offers a variety of non-insurance health and wellness programs, including:

  • Leave Management Services: These services help employers track and report employee absences, due to Short Term Disability (STD), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and other absences, with the goal of a health and timely return to work. These services help reduce absence-related expenses, ensure accurate tracking and improve worker productivity and morale.
  • Employee Assistance Program: The program provides employees and their family members with telephonic assistance with personal, financial, legal and work/life balance needs, as well as referral to community resources and a national network of credentialed clinicians for face-to-face counseling. Optional educational seminars and communications are available to enhance employee understanding and usage.
  • Health Discount Program – UnitedHealth Allies: This non-insurance program provides discounts of 10-50% on health and wellness products and services from a national network of health professionals, facilities and online retail providers, as well as access to a 24-hour NurseLine. May be offered on a fully paid or voluntary basis.*
UnitedHealth Allies is administered by HealthAllies® Inc. It is not an insurance product. Participants are responsible for the entire cost of any health care services purchased, minus the applicable discount.
